Have you heard all this Google Adwords & Adsense hype? Sure me to, but can you really make money with it?

I gave it a try, and on my first day I made $21.95. I know what you are saying now, and? From there on my pay check doubled every day for a week!

Let me tell you how:

1. Get your own free clickbank account at www.clickbank.com.
Clickbank is the company that will send you your paycheques. After you registered with them you can browse through their marketplace and look for something to sell. A good idea is not to go for the big guns like mp3’s, internet marketing, Ipod’s & games. I went for a specialised cookbook that can be downloaded on pdf format.

2. Open a Google Adwords account.
I will get back to what you do at Google a little later.

3. Once you have decided what product to sell, you are then an affiliate for that product. So go check out on the website if they have an affiliate page with keywords and ad variations for your new campaign. If there is nothing, don’t worry, go to http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/rc/srch/ and click on keyword selector tool. Type in your product – Chinese cookbook, and get all the keywords that are searched the most, matching – Chinese cookbook. Use other keyword combinations to get more keywords like these. Copy all the keywords in notepad for later use.

4. Go back to your Google Adwords account. Start a new add campaign and give it your product name. Open a new add group with similar name. Write your ad and be sure to include the price, we don’t want freeloaders to click, now do we? Keep your daily budget under $10 for now and your cost per click on $0.35 – nothing more. Get the keywords estimates to see how high your ad will be for every keyword. If your keyword is 1-3 or 4-7, that’s fine. Anything lower than that, remove the keyword and get a better one.

5. Activate your add campaign and go do something else for a while. When you come back, your ad should have been seen a couple of times. After your first day you should have had a few clicks, if you don’t, change the add.

And that is how I made my first money on the internet. Don’t forget, Google is not the only searchengine that does ppc advertising, so have a look around for other ones where you don’t have to pay so much for keywords and its still targeted traffic that you are working with.
